Mentor Me Presents | The Succulent Project!

In an effort to keep the Mentor Me community connected while we spend time apart, we are offering small kits for growing succulents at home during the 2020-2021 school year. Succulents are a nice “gateway” plant for those of us who were not born with a green thumb, so it should be a successful endeavor for most kids. We will include a short instruction sheet of helpful tips with your order. This is a team event! Mentors and mentees can each get their own kit and plant together while socially distanced or over FaceTime/Zoom. We also thought it would be fun to share our growth throughout the year with a gallery of your plant pics on our website!

Mr. Chris Bell and Ms. Nancy Ryan share how to grow succulents! Watch the video and learn some tips and tricks and where to get your free succulent kits for you and your mentee!

If you and your mentee are interested in participating, just follow these steps:

1) Check out the instructional video above. Even if you’re an experienced gardener, you and your mentee will want to watch as it may help you choose which plants you want!

2) Use our on-line order form ( The Succulent Project Order Request ) to choose your succulents and style of “top dressing.”

3) After we receive your order, we will contact you to let you know it is available for pick up (pick up times are between 10:00am and 2:00pm M, W or F).

4) Send us pics as soon as you’ve planted and throughout the year, and we’ll add them to our gallery!
