We, at Mentor Me, always feel good about the work we do serving the kids in our community. It feels especially nice to know that others feel the same way! Mentor Me is proud to be the recipient of three prestigious awards:

Executive Director Deborah Dalton awarded the 2015 North Bay Business Journal Non Profit Leadership Award for Executive Leadership. Each year, the NBBJ selects the North Bay’s top non profit executives and honors them with the Non Profit Leadership Awards. “It is our privilege to honor these incredible leaders who are so dedicated to helping others in our communities,” said Brad Bollinger, Business Journal publisher. Deborah and the other winners were honored at the Nonprofit Leadership Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 at the Fountaingrove Golf and Country Club.

Mentor Me awarded the 2015 Community Child Care Council (4Cs) of Sonoma County Champions for Children Award. Champions for Children award recipients express the values and principals of 4Cs by advocating and working on behalf of children and Mentor Me is proud to have received the award for School Age Programs. At a special recognition breakfast on November 18, 2015 hundreds of business and community leaders joined 4Cs in honoring the eight Champions for Children award recipients.

The County of Sonoma Board of Supervisors awarded Mentor Me a 2015 Jefferson Award for Public Service. This award is an acknowledgment of excellence in providing services to the public in Sonoma County. Mentor Me is one of only five award recipients selected to receive a 2015 Jefferson Award in Sonoma County. Founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Senator Robert Taft Jr., and Sam Beard, the Jefferson Awards National Ceremonies are the country’s longest standing and most prestigious celebration of public service. The program was developed on a local level to spotlight Excellence in Community Leadership and Civic Engagement.

Thank you North Bay Business Journal, 4Cs of Sonoma County & Sonoma County Board of Supervisors.

It is an honor to be recognized, along with the other wonderful leaders, organizations and volunteers, for doing the work we love to do!
